1. Drishyam: The Conclusion
Release Date: October 2
One of the biggest Upcoming Bollywood Movies in October is undoubtedly Drishyam: The Conclusion.
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar for what director Abhishek Pathak has positioned as the final chapter of the Hindi Drishyam story.
The franchise has become one of Hindi cinema’s most successful suspense series because its central character does not defeat his enemies through physical strength.
He uses intelligence.
Vijay Salgaonkar is an ordinary family man who becomes extraordinary when his family’s survival is threatened.
The new film once again places him under enormous pressure as old secrets return and investigators continue searching for the truth.
Drishyam: The Conclusion Cast
The official trailer confirms:
- Ajay Devgn
- Tabu
- Shriya Saran
- Jaideep Ahlawat
- Prakash Raj
- Rajat Kapoor
- Ishita Dutta
- Mrunal Jadhav
- Kamlesh Sawant
Abhishek Pathak directs the film.
What Is Drishyam: The Conclusion About?
The complete plot remains protected because revealing too much would destroy the suspense.
However, the movie continues Vijay Salgaonkar’s fight to protect his family.
Previous films established that Vijay is willing to plan far ahead, manipulate evidence and understand human behaviour better than the people investigating him.
The final film must therefore answer one central question:
Can Vijay escape the consequences forever?
Why Fans Are Excited
The Story Finally Ends
The film is being promoted as the conclusion to Vijay Salgaonkar’s journey.
Ajay Devgn vs Tabu
The emotional and psychological conflict between their characters has driven much of the franchise.
Jaideep Ahlawat Joins the Cast
Jaideep’s presence creates another powerful acting combination.
Mystery Remains the Main Attraction
Unlike action franchises, Drishyam succeeds because viewers constantly try to guess what Vijay has planned.
2. Prem Keetanu
Release Date: October 2
Prem Keetanu offers a very different experience from Drishyam.
The film stars Veer Pahariya and Aparshakti Khurana and is directed by Apoorv Singh Karki.
Current listings describe it as a romantic comedy built around relationships, attraction and the strange ways people behave when they fall in love.
The cast also includes:
- Aafiya Sayed
- Rakesh Bedi
- Nikhil Vijay
What Can Audiences Expect?
The film appears designed as a lighter alternative for viewers who do not want an intense thriller.
Expect:
- Romance
- Comedy
- Friendship
- Relationship confusion
- Youthful characters
- Music
- Family entertainment
Its October 2 release also puts it directly opposite one of the month’s biggest thrillers.
That makes the weekend particularly interesting because audiences can choose between two completely different genres.
3. Valmiki Ramayana
Release Date: October 2
Valmiki Ramayana is another notable release scheduled for the first major weekend of October.
The project is directed by Bhavna Talwar and brings the legendary Ramayana story to cinemas.
Unlike contemporary romantic or action films, this movie enters the mythological genre.
The Ramayana has inspired countless:
- Television series
- Films
- Books
- Plays
- Animated adaptations
Every new cinematic version therefore faces an important challenge.
It needs to remain respectful to the source material while creating an experience that feels powerful on the big screen.
Why It Could Attract Audiences
Mythological stories already have enormous cultural recognition in India.
The audience does not need to be introduced to characters such as:
- Lord Ram
- Sita
- Lakshman
- Hanuman
- Ravana
The real question will be how the filmmakers interpret these characters visually and emotionally.
4. Udta Teer
Release Date: October 9
Udta Teer brings together Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan.
The movie is directed by Aakash Kaushik and is currently described as a comedy with spy elements.
That combination makes it one of the more unusual Upcoming Bollywood Movies in October.
Ayushmann has built his career around unconventional Hindi films that take unusual situations and make them accessible through humour.
Sara Ali Khan adds another energetic screen presence.
Udta Teer Cast
The principal cast includes:
- Ayushmann Khurrana
- Sara Ali Khan
- Parul Gulati
More supporting cast details are expected around the release.
What Is Udta Teer About?
Full story details have deliberately been kept limited.
Current descriptions indicate that an unusual situation sends the central characters into a chain of increasingly unpredictable events.
With comedy and espionage mixed together, the movie could combine:
- Secret missions
- Mistaken identities
- Chaos
- Romance
- Action
- Situational comedy
Why Udta Teer Is Worth Watching
Ayushmann usually works best when the premise itself is unusual.
Films such as Vicky Donor, Andhadhun, Dream Girl and Bala helped build his reputation for concept-driven entertainment.
If Udta Teer delivers strong writing alongside its comedy, it could become one of the month’s surprise hits.
5. Bokshi
Release Date: October 9
Horror fans also have something to look forward to.
Bokshi is directed by Bhargav Saikia and stars performers including:
- Prasanna Bisht
- Mansi Multani
- Dagi Ngomdir
Current movie listings describe the project as a horror story with mystery elements.
What Makes Bokshi Interesting?
Hindi horror is changing.
For years, the genre was often dominated by:
- Haunted mansions
- Revenge ghosts
- Possessions
- Jump scares
Newer filmmakers have increasingly explored:
- Folklore
- Regional mythology
- Psychological horror
- Isolated locations
- Social themes
Bokshi could appeal to audiences looking for atmospheric horror rather than mainstream horror-comedy.
6. Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story
Release Date: October 16
One of the most serious Upcoming Bollywood Movies in October is Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story.
The film is inspired by prominent public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and his involvement in major criminal cases.
It stars:
- Rajkummar Rao
- Wamiqa Gabbi
- Jaideep Ahlawat
- Sikandar Kher
- Ritvik Sahore
Avinash Arun directs the movie, while Dinesh Vijan produces it.
The Central Board of Film Certification lists the film as a Hindi UA 16+ production and describes its central story as Ujjwal Nikam leading India’s legal fight to bring perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks to justice.
Rajkummar Rao as Ujjwal Nikam
Rajkummar Rao has built his reputation through transformation.
His career includes:
- Shahid
- Newton
- Trapped
- Stree
- Srikanth
- Badhaai Do
Playing a real legal figure presents a different challenge.
The performance must capture personality without becoming imitation.
Why Prahaar Could Be Important
Courtroom films work best when arguments feel as tense as action scenes.
The subject provides natural dramatic material involving:
- Terrorism
- Law
- Evidence
- Justice
- Public pressure
- Media attention
- Personal responsibility
If handled carefully, Prahaar could become one of October’s most substantial dramas.
7. Nayyi Navelli
Release Date: October 16
Yami Gautam leads Nayyi Navelli, another Hindi release currently scheduled for the crowded October 16 weekend.
The movie is directed by Balaji Mohan.
Current listings have described the film in slightly different genre terms, ranging from comedy-drama to fantasy-oriented entertainment, while complete plot details remain limited.
Because of that, audiences should wait for the final trailer rather than relying on early plot rumours.
Why Yami Gautam Makes It Interesting
Yami has built one of the more varied recent Hindi filmographies.
Her projects have included:
- Article 370
- A Thursday
- Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga
- OMG 2
- Dasvi
She has increasingly chosen character-driven stories rather than conventional romantic-heroine roles.
That makes Nayyi Navelli worth watching even while much of the storyline remains under wraps.
8. Raftaar
Release Date: October 16
Rajkummar Rao has another film currently listed for the same weekend: Raftaar.
The movie is directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and features Keerthy Suresh alongside Rajkummar Rao.
Current release calendars classify it broadly as a drama, although substantial story details remain protected.
Why Raftaar Is Interesting
The biggest attraction is the pairing.
Rajkummar Rao is known for character-based Hindi cinema.
Keerthy Suresh has established herself across South Indian cinema and has increasingly expanded her Hindi-film presence.
If Raftaar keeps its announced release date, Rajkummar would potentially have two films arriving on the same day.
Release schedules can shift, however, so this is one title where audiences should keep an eye on final announcements.
9. Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar
Release Date: October 23
After a month filled with thrillers and intense dramas, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar brings audiences back to romance.
The film is currently listed as a romantic comedy.
Its cast includes:
- Sakshi Vaidya
- Sparsh Walia
- Alisha Chopra
- Kunal Vaid
The title itself suggests a story centred on finding love again.
What Could the Story Explore?
Second-chance romances naturally create questions such as:
- Can people fall deeply in love more than once?
- Does first love ever truly disappear?
- Can old heartbreak affect a new relationship?
- What happens when the past returns?
These themes could give the film emotional depth beyond standard romantic comedy.
10. Main Na Raha Mera
Release Date: October 23
Main Na Raha Mera is currently listed as a musical romance.
The movie stars:
- Adhyayan Suman
- Divita Rai
and is directed by Amit Kasaria.
Music-driven romantic films have historically played an important role in Hindi cinema.
Songs can sometimes become bigger than the movie itself.
Why Musical Romance Still Works
Bollywood audiences have always responded strongly to films where songs become part of the storytelling.
Successful romantic albums can:
- Introduce characters
- Express emotions
- Build chemistry
- Drive social-media popularity
- Keep films culturally relevant for years
If Main Na Raha Mera produces a strong soundtrack, music could become its biggest promotional advantage.
Biggest Bollywood Clash in October
The month contains several crowded weekends.
October 2
Current schedules include:
- Drishyam: The Conclusion
- Prem Keetanu
- Valmiki Ramayana
This weekend gives audiences three completely different experiences:
Thriller vs romance vs mythology.
October 9
The major Hindi choices include:
- Udta Teer
- Bokshi
This creates another interesting contrast:
Comedy vs horror.
October 16
This is potentially the busiest weekend.
Current schedules include:
- Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story
- Nayyi Navelli
- Raftaar
The films are targeted at very different viewers, which may reduce direct competition.
Most Anticipated Upcoming Bollywood Movies in October
Several movies have particularly strong reasons for attracting attention.
Drishyam: The Conclusion
Because audiences want to discover how Vijay Salgaonkar’s story finally ends.
Udta Teer
Because Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan create a fresh pairing in an unusual spy-comedy setup.
Prahaar
Because Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaideep Ahlawat are part of a serious real-life courtroom story.
Prem Keetanu
Because it provides lighter romantic entertainment during a thriller-heavy opening weekend.
Bokshi
Because Indian horror continues to attract audiences looking for stories outside conventional mainstream genres.
Best October Movie for Thriller Fans
Drishyam: The Conclusion is the obvious choice.
The franchise has already established a complicated world of secrets, evidence and psychological strategy.
The final chapter promises closure to one of Hindi cinema’s most successful thriller stories.
Best October Movie for Comedy Fans
Udta Teer could be the strongest choice.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s history with unusual comedy concepts makes the project especially interesting.
Prem Keetanu provides another lighter alternative.
Best October Movie for Serious Drama Fans
Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story should be high on the list.
Its real-world legal backdrop and strong cast give it significant dramatic potential.
Best October Movie for Horror Fans
Bokshi is currently the major Hindi horror title listed for the month.
Its mystery-heavy approach could appeal to viewers looking for something darker.
Best October Movie for Romance Fans
Romance viewers have several choices:
- Prem Keetanu
- Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar
- Main Na Raha Mera
Each appears to offer a different romantic style.

Why October Is Important for Bollywood
October is traditionally attractive for movie releases because it combines:
- Holiday periods
- Festival audiences
- Family outings
- Strong weekend footfall
Studios often use these windows for movies designed to reach large theatrical audiences.
The variety of genres this October is especially notable.
Instead of every film competing for the same audience, moviegoers have several choices.
Thriller fans can watch Drishyam.
Comedy fans can try Udta Teer.
Horror audiences have Bokshi.
Serious-drama viewers can choose Prahaar.
Romance fans have several late-month releases.
That diversity could help multiple films find their own audiences.
Theatre vs OTT: Where Will These Movies Release?
Most of the major titles discussed above are currently listed as theatrical releases.
Streaming dates generally come later.
The exact OTT platform and streaming date for a theatrical movie may not be announced until after its cinema run.
Therefore, viewers should be cautious about websites claiming an exact OTT release before producers confirm it.
Can Bollywood Release Dates Change?
Yes.
Movie release calendars frequently change because of:
- Production delays
- Post-production
- Certification
- Competition
- Marketing strategy
- Screen availability
This is especially important when several major movies target the same weekend.
The dates in this guide reflect the currently announced or widely listed schedules.
Always check the final announcement before booking.
Which Movie Could Dominate the Opening Weekend?
Drishyam: The Conclusion enters October with one of the strongest existing brands.
The previous films already created a large fan base, and audiences know the central characters.
That gives it an advantage in initial recognition.
However, opening weekend performance depends on several factors:
- Reviews
- Advance bookings
- Audience word of mouth
- Ticket prices
- Competition
- Screen count
A famous franchise does not automatically guarantee long-term success.
Why Word of Mouth Will Matter
October contains several films without giant franchise names.
For movies such as:
- Bokshi
- Prem Keetanu
- Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar
- Main Na Raha Mera
word of mouth could become extremely important.
A smaller film can grow significantly when viewers begin recommending it online.
Recent Indian cinema has repeatedly demonstrated that audience response can sometimes matter more than opening-day marketing.
Final Thoughts
The lineup of Upcoming Bollywood Movies in October offers one of the most varied Hindi-film calendars in recent months.
Drishyam: The Conclusion is the headline attraction, bringing Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar for what is being promoted as the final part of the thriller franchise.
Udta Teer gives Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan a fresh comedy pairing, while Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story brings Rajkummar Rao into a serious legal and biographical drama.
Bokshi provides horror, while Prem Keetanu, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar and Main Na Raha Mera give romance fans several choices.
The most exciting aspect of the month is the variety.
Audiences are not being offered one type of cinema.
They can choose mystery, comedy, horror, mythology, courtroom drama or romance.
Just remember that movie schedules remain subject to change.
For the latest release status, always check official trailers, production announcements and cinema listings before making your weekend plans.
