Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players are in for an exciting challenge this October, as Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon will headline the next Seven-Star Tera Raid battles. These powerful Paradox Pokémon will be available for a limited time, giving trainers just over a week to catch them.

Event Date and Time

The Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon Seven-Star Tera Raid event kicks off on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 8:00 PM Eastern, and will run until Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 7:59 PM Eastern.

  • Iron Valiant (Fairy-Tera type) → exclusive to Pokémon Violet
  • Roaring Moon (Dragon-Tera type) → exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet

Trainers who successfully defeat these bosses will also earn the coveted Mightiest Mark, making these battles even more rewarding.

Meet the New Seven-Star Raid Bosses

  • Roaring Moon: A Past Paradox Pokémon inspired by Salamence, known for its high Attack and Speed. Its Dragon typing makes it a fearsome physical attacker.
  • Iron Valiant: A Future Paradox Pokémon combining traits of Gallade and Gardevoir. It balances both physical and special attacks, making it versatile in battle.

These battles mark the first Seven-Star Tera Raid event in nearly three months, following Kommo-O the Unrivaled’s appearance back in July.

Strategy Tips for Trainers

While both Dragon and Fairy types come with exploitable weaknesses, players shouldn’t expect an easy fight.

  • Roaring Moon is weak to Fairy and Ice moves but may counter with attacks like Iron Head or Earthquake.
  • Iron Valiant, despite its Fairy typing, could carry unexpected coverage moves to throw off counters.

With these surprises in mind, trainers will need to carefully plan their teams and adapt during battle.

Additional Paradox Raids

Alongside the main event, trainers can also participate in Five-Star Tera Raids featuring other version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon, including Great Tusk and Iron Treads. This adds even more variety to October’s raid lineup.

A Busy October for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Players

With the Shiny Treasures of Ruin event wrapping up, and following the controversial Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon distribution, trainers are looking at a packed month of content. Between Seven-Star Tera Raids and bonus Paradox encounters, October is shaping up to be one of the most eventful months yet in the Paldea region.

Final Thoughts

The return of Seven-Star Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet promises tough but rewarding battles for dedicated trainers. Whether you’re preparing to face Roaring Moon in Scarlet or Iron Valiant in Violet, now is the time to start building your raid-ready team.

👉 Mark your calendars: October 2 to October 12 is your chance to claim these exclusive Paradox Pokémon and their Mightiest Mark.
